A Bookaholic, Pro-life, Pro-Family, Pro-Oxford Comma, Catholic (with Asperger's) who reads and writes as her obsession. I've been reading over 400 books a year lately. These are my ramblings on some of the books I read. To read about all the books I read and comment on, visit me at LibraryThing or Goodreads.

I've been blogging since 2007 and at this point (July 2015) am trying my hand at turning the theme of this blog towards mystery, thriller, and crime, fiction and nonfiction. I have some special interest topics and categories within this broad genre which include (but are not limited to) serial killers, scandi-crime, Victorian history and historicals, history of the criminally insane and asylums, psychopathology, death, funerary practices and burial, corpses, true crime and anything dealing with the real life macabre, or that portrayed in fiction.

I also read a short story a day from various collections, sometimes anthologies othertimes collections of a single author's work. These reviews are also posted here and while they are of mixed genre the mystery, thriller, horror, gothic and macabre often appear within their pages as well.

I also blog about
graphic novels and manga on a separate BLOG.

Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by Daisy at the Brook and the Bookish.  I just love making lists so this sounded like a fun one to join in on.

This week's question is:

What 10 books are you most looking forward to reading this fall?

I've got some new releases on my list and some older ones that I have lined up to finally read this September.  I haven't planned any further ahead yet!

In no particular order, I hope to read at least these titles in September:

1 A Room Full of Bones by Elly Griffiths
2. Whirlpool by Eileen Enright Hodgetts
3. Bones are Forever by Kathy Reichs
4. The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann
5. Judge Dredd: Complete Case Files 01 by John Wagner
6. Sailor Twain by Mark Seigel
7. Trust Your Eyes by Linwood Barclay
8. XO by Jeffrey Deaver
9. The Painted Bridge by Wendy Wallace
10. The Black Heart Crypt by Chris Grabenstein

  1. Not this year but on my TBR list are your # 3, 4, 7 and 8. I really enjoy LisaM and LinwoodB and want to try JeffreyD and KathyR for the first time.

  2. Wonderful fall reading list you have got. Happy reading!!
