Alcott doesn't put much of Father in her first book, and March is almost entirely about him.

Tell me what you think of March!Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07364752277483354507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3212465766317764317.post-57947770303601430752008-02-24T12:52:00.000-05:002008-02-24T12:52:00.000-05:00Hi Chris, Yes, I do love reading re-tellings! I'm also anxious to read Geraldine Brooks' March but I want to re-read Little Women first.Nikki in Niagarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13348586723780500367noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3212465766317764317.post-53863531334989537552008-02-24T12:43:00.000-05:002008-02-24T12:43:00.000-05:00I am a huge fan of a book re-telling a familiar ta...I am a huge fan of a book re-telling a familiar tale. Like with Frank Beddor's Wonderland series or Gregory Maguire's books, we learn a lot more about the characters and situation from different perspectives.

Of course, the re-telling has to be somewhat true to the original tale...

Do you read many re-tellings? Do you like them?

- ChrisChrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07364752277483354507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3212465766317764317.post-69358130050764427292007-07-05T19:13:00.000-04:002007-07-05T19:13:00.000-04:00I thought it was a quick read. JE is one of my favorites, too.1morechapterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04919728304715220778noreply@blogger.com
