To me it seems that the ones who don't like the book, found it boring because there were so many characters to keep track of and then some couldn't like a book when the characters themselves were so unlikable.<br /><br />For me, I love a book with lots of characters and switching back and forth from one to the other and I believe the unlikable characters are not *all* as they appear (that's why it's worth reading to the end) and we do have to remember we are dealing with the devil here so the characters are not going to people you'd invite to tea.
